Behind the scenes, she's such a tease... (bloopers!)~

Like the title suggests, consider this a behind-the-scenes / teaser / blooper reel for an upcoming post.

So, today is my birthday (yay me! i'm old!) and to mark the occasion falling on a Sunday (what is supposed to be my usual upload day) I was going to make an extra special post, BUT, turns out I was a little ambitious and it's not quite ready yet, SO, instead, here are some blooper pics from the shoot!

What. In. The. Heck. Oh em gee sooo cringe! Why am I showing these on the internet?! xP

... and an actual behind-the-scenes pic in which you can barely see the make-up look I did for the shoot. Thanks, front camera.

Okay, so not really very telling, particularly interesting, or a lot to go by, but hey, I wanted to make a post on my birthday, so boom!, mission accomplished! And yes, there were a LOT more bloopers I could have posted, but... I'm already so embarrassed over these, I don't think I could handle the shame of showing any others, so yeah... you can just imagine how bad those were...

Until next week!! ^^

So... welcome to my first OOTD of 2018! Woo!

I attempted to start the year looking a little more put together than usual, and I'm sure I would have almost pulled it off, had it not been severely raining during the shoot, thus, resulting in a sort of I'm-nuts-and-awkward-as-hell me instead. However, no hate on the outfit at all, the downfall is all my terrible posing!

Now, for the most part, I'm not typically a jeans/trousers kinda person. In fact, come to think about it, I'm pretty sure this will be my first OOTD featuring jeans! Well, I do love my shorts...

There is something to be said about a good pair of black skinny jeans, however, in the sense that they are very easy to dress up or down, and as I mentioned at the beginning of this post I was going for a more put together, almost mature look, which is sometimes a bit tricky with shorts.

Do expect the shorts to be back in my next OOTD though! xD

PS.: mind the soft photos, btw; as i said, it was raining, plus we were kind of on a tight schedule, PLUS ama was holding a lot of things (including the umbrella to protect my precious camera!) whilst trying to shoot me being stupid, so yeah... sorry, not sorry?!

Yes, yes, it is I, alive and well, HELLO AGAIN!

I seriously suck at maintaining this blog, don't I? But worry not, as now that I have a little more time on my hands and the natural lighting of London is getting a little easier to work with, I shall be able take photos to finally accompany the many posts I started writing last year! At last!!

But enough of that for now, on to THIS post! So, I figured it's been a while since I've posted a more casual look of mine, if ever, and so kind of just threw this outfit together very last-minute and went for a walk with Ama until we found a nice location to do our first shoot of the year (which you can so tell by the awkward posing, ...)!

While you'd never have guessed it from my various OOTDs, I am very much a creature of comfort and prefer hoodies and baggy t-shirts for my attire, so aside from the boots that I was just trying to get some wear out of for the first time in forever, this is pretty much what you'd most likely find me in on a normal day. Pretty boring and lazy, huh? And DAMN, has my hair grown long or what?! xD

ANYWAY, until next time (and there will be a next time!!),

Return to Crystal Palace~

So... it's been a while, huh? I have to say, despite not having done an OOTD shoot in quite a while, this was probably one of the more successful ones! Thank goodness!

The shoot was done in Crystal Palace Park which I have only been to once before for another photoshoot, only that time I was the photographer. Mad to think that 5 years later I'd be the model! Okay, so I'm not a model, but you know what I mean! Note to any bloggers/photographers/etc., this is a great location for shoots; lots of variety in scenery and fairly little traffic!

As for my outfit, this is one of my favourite dresses cut-wise and material-wise. I have this exact same dress in plain black and honestly, I'm a little sad Motel don't do more dresses like these anymore; sometimes you need to have more cute than sexy in your wardrobe!! However, it is a bit more of a summer dress, despite the colour palette, so I chose to match it with a mesh top to give a more Autumn/Winter feel, alongside my favourite ankle boots.

A shame I didn't amp up the make-up though - you can barely see it! So sad... anyway, finally another OOTD posted, I promise there will be more in the near future, so please don't give up on me!!

Photographer's Block?! + Super Awesome Pressies~

Had a photoshoot for the first time in ages yesterday, and I've got to say, I really did not know what I was doing! I was sooo out of practice and just all over the place! So yeah, this'll be the first time posting my photography on here, but seriously, it's not my best work, so please don't judge me from this alone!

See what I mean? In terms of composition, I don't think there's anything wrong with it, but meh, it's not exactly spectacular or amazing in any way, is it? AND, I can't even take credit for composition! Ama (right) suggested this exact spot for some photos, so really all I did was frame and shoot. Laaame! What kind of useless photographer am I? I really do have to commend her and Felix (left) for working super well without direction for this shoot; I was really nervous as this was my first time shooting a guy AND the first shoot I'd done in ages, so yeah, wasn't totally prepared or confident... xP

Anyway, grim photography aside, just thought I'd share snaps of my 2 favourite Christmas pressies I received this year, so here they are!

This first one is the 'I Love Crafty' Cat Nap ring from the Motel Rocks website which featured in my 'All I Want For Christmas Is You~' post a while back, and I am sooo happy with it! I wasn't actually expecting to get anything from that list, so was super chuffed when my friend Isabel not only got me this from the list, but also the Motel Rocks body top I had been lusting after! Woooo!

This gift was a total surprise to me; I seriously was not expecting something as awesome as this! According to my friend Ama, I showed her a brooch version of this to her a couple of years ago and she somehow managed to remember it and find a necklace version for me, which is super convenient as I don't even wear brooches, so yayyy! Thank you so much for the awesome necklace, Ama!!

I got too lazy before I could be bothered to get out the few other things I got from Christmas, so they will have to wait before being featured in a post, but yeah, got some nice things and apparently have more to come from some people, so coolies, looking forward to that.

And if you're still reading this then please do me the favour of sparing a few more seconds to visit my photography page (link featured under my 'about me' section) so you can see what my photography normally looks when I'm not in total fail mode! ><" (oh, and if you think what you see there is better then please don't hesitate to click the 'like' button too!)
