Stuff I don’t wear enough! ~Jewellery Edition~

Thankfully, there isn’t a lot to mention in this post, because thing is, I’ve accumulated a lot of jewellery over the last few years and it would be a crying shame if most of it ended up neglected in a drawer. However, a few pieces have fallen victim to such a sad fate and so I figured it was time to give them the spotlight (at least briefly) before they are once again condemned to the darkness… (lol, dramatic much?)

Let's start with the rings:

River Song Faux Snow Opal Ring by Shop Dixi
Excalibur Amethyst Ring by Shop Dixi

So, even without these two I already have quite a few rings from Shop Dixi. Which then begs the question: ‘umm, if you have so many and never wear these ones, then why did you even bother wasting money on them in the first place?’. Well, dear critical reader, that is an excellent question, except… did you see the rings?? They’re so freaking gorgeous! Particularly the snow opal one, UGH, it is such a beauty! Sadly though, seeing as it is quite the statement piece (compared to all my other rings, that is) and as I don’t ever have an occasion these days to be, well, making statements, it just sits around, very neglected but never forgotten. Sigh.

As for the other ring, well… it’s not just a matter of having no occasion to wear it, but also due to the style of ring (wrap around) I find myself conflicted over whether or not I should be wearing it due to it maybe clashing too much with my very religiously worn wrap-around piece from Bloody Mary Metal (which can be vaguely seen in just about every ootd post i have…). Hmm… what do you think? Is it just me who’s making issues out of nothing?

Celeste Necklace by The Serpent's Club
(worn higher for photographing purposes, but actually falls somewhere around the boob/sternum area)

Oh my gosh I absolutely fell in love with this piece from The Serpent’s Club when I saw it being worn by the beautiful Olivia Emily and knew instantly that I just had to have it! However, as it is such a delicate and, once again, statement piece, I find it both difficult to find the occasion to wear it, and also the willingness to potentially bring it to harm. For example, the first and so far only time I did wear it was when I first got my hands on it, and what did I stupidly do? Knock it against a cupboard door. Well done, me. And while there doesn’t seem to be any damage, I’m just super paranoid, you know? It’s such a precious piece and I can’t bear to potentially put it in harm’s way!

Lovegood Choker by Black Moon Shop

I think this is the oldest piece out of all the ones I’ve featured in this post, which will then also mean that it is the most neglected piece of all, seeing as how I don’t think I’ve ever worn it. Wow. That’s terrible. Again, the issue is not really finding a good occasion for wearing it, which is stupid because I could so easily do an ootd with this at the forefront. Which in fact I might just do. Yeah, I think that’ll have to be the way to go, because it’s too pretty to be kept in hiding forever and there’s also no way I’m passing it on to anyone because not only is it no longer available, but it’s also one of the first presents I got for myself when I first started working way back when! Ah, nostalgia…

Lastly, we have this stunning choker by Regal Rose. Regal Rose has so many beautiful pieces that I'm always drooling over, but this ended up being the one I snatched up after much debate as I figured it would be easy to wear with a lot of outfits. Which is it. But, once again, I have that stupid issue of ‘but i want to protect it and keep it in pristine condition forever!’, which is stupid, because for reals, why then even bother buying pretty things like this in the first place?? I will say though, that I think out of all the pieces in this post this is the one that I’ve worn the most, which is good, but… still not good enough!!

Well there you have it. Bonafide evidence that I am very much a hoarder. Of pretty things. Of shiny things. So basically I’m a dragon. Or maybe a magpie... but I prefer dragon.

I think I will try taking my own advice for once and at least strive to pull these out once in a while for ootd’s, though we’ll have to wait and see how that one goes. At least I’ve now shared them with the public so that maybe you all, my lovely readers, can call me out after, say, a year if I haven’t featured at least one of these jewels in another post!? Hopefully that won’t be necessary…

And now lastly, as a bonus (which maybe i’ll tack on to the end of every post from now on?!), here’s a crappy selfie I took after playing around with KvD’s MetalMatte palette (see my earlier post about it here) and Kiko liquid lipstick! Enjoy! xD

(yes, i know my lips are wonky, no need to further point it out... xP)

PS.: again, another wordy post! is everyone okay with this?? because i find it very hard to restrain myself from writing essays unless explicitly told not to... =/

Often ill-prepared...~

Top - H&M
Jeans - Topshop
Jacket - Miss Selfridge
Scarf - Miss Selfridge (<--- my favourite scarf!)
Necklace - Lovisa
Beanie - Tally Weijl
Boots - ASOS

So... welcome to my first OOTD of 2018! Woo!

I attempted to start the year looking a little more put together than usual, and I'm sure I would have almost pulled it off, had it not been severely raining during the shoot, thus, resulting in a sort of I'm-nuts-and-awkward-as-hell me instead. However, no hate on the outfit at all, the downfall is all my terrible posing!

Now, for the most part, I'm not typically a jeans/trousers kinda person. In fact, come to think about it, I'm pretty sure this will be my first OOTD featuring jeans! Well, I do love my shorts...

There is something to be said about a good pair of black skinny jeans, however, in the sense that they are very easy to dress up or down, and as I mentioned at the beginning of this post I was going for a more put together, almost mature look, which is sometimes a bit tricky with shorts.

Do expect the shorts to be back in my next OOTD though! xD

-Philippa. x

PS.: mind the soft photos, btw; as i said, it was raining, plus we were kind of on a tight schedule, PLUS ama was holding a lot of things (including the umbrella to protect my precious camera!) whilst trying to shoot me being stupid, so yeah... sorry, not sorry?!

Hide and seek...~

Dress - Dresslink
Belt - Boohoo
Harness - etsy (@modministrymerch)
Boots - Topshop

This shoot was a weird one. Very weird.

I don't really know what possessed me to dress up like this, other than that it was really hot out and for some reason I put on wayyy too much make-up and so figured, why not go all out 'wtf'? Sure, it might not look all that crazy here, but let me tell you, it's the pics that didn't make the cut that tell the story of how this basic look was actually just that little bit too much! Maybe I'll post some in like a bloopers post one day...

However, I do like this outfit; the boots are my favourites, the dress is lovely and light (and the closest i'll ever get to owning a blackmilk piece, seeing as how it's a knock-off and all...) and the belt always makes me feel cool and feminine and super skinny, even though I'm totes not! ^^

AND, best of all, despite wearing all black, I was not completely roasting! Win! Still not sure about that hair though - what should I do?!? xP

Contrasting Comfort~

Top - Motel Rocks
Dress - Motel Rocks
Shoes - Irregular Choice

Hoho, what's this? Three posts in three consecutive weeks?? Did Philippa get fired from her job and suddenly have free time for her blog??? Jokes aside, I figured it was about time for another OOTD post, as it has been a hot minute since my last, no?

Though you'd never guess it from these photos, the main part of this look was meant to be the shoes, i.e. I dressed for the shoes. Did it really work out? As an outfit, yeah, I guess, but for the photos? Nahhh, sadly not, as much to Ama's annoyance, any time we got a good shot of the shoes, my top half was being silly, but oh well! You get the gist though, right? And even though it was kinda doomed to fail from the start, I reaaaally wanted to wear these shoes for the first time since, like, ever, as I really don't have any occasion to ever wear them (and they're not exactly 'everyday' shoes, are they?), so... yeah! That happened...

Also, on a kinda unrelated note, I really need a haircut, don't I? I was thinking of just going full goth and finally dying it black when I give it the chop in the next month or so, what do you think? Full on darkness or should I retain some sort of colour, let me know!

Return to Crystal Palace~

Dress - Motel Rocks
Mesh top - Boohoo
Boots - Topshop
Necklace - The Rogue + The Wolf

So... it's been a while, huh? I have to say, despite not having done an OOTD shoot in quite a while, this was probably one of the more successful ones! Thank goodness!

The shoot was done in Crystal Palace Park which I have only been to once before for another photoshoot, only that time I was the photographer. Mad to think that 5 years later I'd be the model! Okay, so I'm not a model, but you know what I mean! Note to any bloggers/photographers/etc., this is a great location for shoots; lots of variety in scenery and fairly little traffic!

As for my outfit, this is one of my favourite dresses cut-wise and material-wise. I have this exact same dress in plain black and honestly, I'm a little sad Motel don't do more dresses like these anymore; sometimes you need to have more cute than sexy in your wardrobe!! However, it is a bit more of a summer dress, despite the colour palette, so I chose to match it with a mesh top to give a more Autumn/Winter feel, alongside my favourite ankle boots.

A shame I didn't amp up the make-up though - you can barely see it! So sad... anyway, finally another OOTD posted, I promise there will be more in the near future, so please don't give up on me!!

Once in a blue moon...~

Denim shorts - £5 (on sale!) - H&M
Denim jacket - £18 - Primark
Leather boots - £54.50 (on sale!) - Irregular Choice
Yes, once in a blue moon I manage to find the time (and the help) to actually take some photos for a bloody post! Gasp! Maybe if I spent a little less money on clothes and jewellery I might actually be able to afford a self-timer so that I can take pictures by myself...

But excuses aside, this post is mainly to show that I am still determined to keep this thing alive and to push myself (again) to try even harder, dammit! (and also to show off some of my latest goodies!)

So yeah, hopefully there won't be any more huge gaps between posts from now on, but just in case there are... sorry blogspot, I swear I haven't given up on you!! ><"

Jewellery Haul!!~ (Black Moon, Noctua, Accessorize, etc.)

This post honestly would have come out sooner, had I not been a little too ambitious and attempted to actually make a haul video, but, then I realised that I don't have the editing software, memory space, etc., so that was a fail. Instead, I'll have to break up my rather formidable late-2014-early-2015 haul and we're gonna start with jewellery, woo!

So right at the end of December I decided to go a little crazy and buy myself a load of trinkets because, hey, why not actually get some Christmas presents for once, even if they're from me to me? And so I did!

(L-R)

These first items come from a site called Noctua, which I happened on by chance when I realised that most online stores for this kind of jewellery (think Druzy Dreams, Shop Dixi, Regal Rose, etc.), though super popular amongst bloggers, are just that tiny bit out of my price range.

All the items themselves are very reasonably priced and are just as lovely in person as they are in the photos. The piece I was most excited about was the 'Blandior' choker, and I am just loving it! ^^

Up next is this stunning choker by Black Moon and I absolutely adore this piece! It reminds me of the chokers by Regal Rose, and although I'm sure the quality is not quite on par, the Black Moon version is still a pretty awesome alternative at a fraction of the cost.

(L-R)
'Indian Princess' ring - £14
Star and Moon stacking rings - £15
Moonstone ring - £7 (approx.)
Wishbone ring - £12 (approx.)
Abalone shell ring - £14 (approx.)

I went a bit crazy when it came to rings because I had just become SO sick of buying rings from stores like H&M and Forever 21 and having my fingers turn green within a couple of hours of wearing them, SO, I felt it a reasonable investment to buy a bunch of sterling silver rings instead! The first two are from Accessorize and I'm a little annoyed to be honest because had I waited another couple of weeks I could have gotten them in the sale instead! Baka...

The other three I purchased from the Stables Market in Camden (an essential shopping stop when visiting london!) and I am sooo happy with these, you have no idea! The reason they all say 'approx.' after the prices is because I've forgotten how much they were all supposed to be seeing as how I haggled for better prices on all of them... but yeah, I'd been trawling through sites like Amelia May and Gemporia, but for the most part the rings I found were either too expensive or just weren't my style, so thank goodness for market haggling!

Luna necklace - £3.50

This lovely cresent moon necklace was an absolute steal at a mere £3.50 and I picked it up from an etsy store called The Moon Above. Most stores I've browsed through are selling almost identical pieces for anything from £8 to £18! Plus, the chain on this is silver plated, so I won't be having to worry about my neck going green any time soon! ^^

So that's all the jewellery I've been spending all ma money on recently. I'm really happy with everything that I've bought (so much so that I'm constantly tempted to buy more!) it's been really fun to have all these new things to layer and style with outfits. Yayyy.

All the difference~

http://lookbook.nu/look/6016301-Topshop-Denim-Shorts-New-Look-Boots-Kiko-Nail

Top - The East End Thrift Store
Shorts - Topshop
Tights - F&F @ Tesco
Boots - New Look (currently on sale!)

*sigh* If only my hair always looked this bouncy and interesting, but alas, most of the time it's just sucky and flat. If anyone knows of any hair products to help with this issue, please share! Hair talk aside, this was taken just yesterday actually before I went to a gig. Like the last OOTD post I did before a gig, this was in Camden Town, only this time I was seeing one of the most precious bands to me to have ever existed, Elliot Minor, but more on that in a later post (you have been warned!).

It might have been a little bit silly of me to break in my new New Look boots (bought on sale in-store for £10! that's a 75% discount!) on a day where I would end up being on my feet for a good 12 hours+, but then I'm sure my feet would have been aching regardless of my choice of footwear. They are, otherwise, quite comfortable and I'm way happy with this bargain! This was also my first time wearing this shirt which I bought for the steal of £1, which is also a sweet deal. It's a size large though, so it fits a little weirdly on me, but eh, oversized is a style that's been growing on me recently.

Lastly, not that it's super clear in the pics, but I attempted (and succeeded for the first time ever!) doing winged eyeliner just as something different, and though it took me 40 minutes in total to get it looking decent and somewhat even, but it really does make such a difference to my look that I think I may need to invest in spending more time practicing!

MAJOR MOTEL MADNESS! a.k.a. Super Sample Sale haul~

If Motel Rocks ever opens a store in London, I totes get dibs on a job as their star salesperson. ;D

'Jokes' aside, I recently had the pleasure of once again assisting the London Motel team with running the recent sample sale and let me just say, being surrounded by all that Motel goodness with all the credits I earned, I seriously felt like a kid in a candy store and here is what I got with said credit!:

TALK ABOUT A MEGA-HAUL, RIGHT?! Sadly, due to lack of space and botheredness, I couldn't take clearer pictures of the clothes without them coming out looking like blah eBay photos, so this is as good as it's gonna get. Soz. IF that is such a bother, however, listed below (in roughly clockwise order) are all the deets of the above clothes so you can go and easily Google them for better photos, should you wish to:

Pearl Dress in Mighty Criss Cross (RRP £42 - SSP* £15) // Kadie Skirt in Magenta (RRP £25 - SSP £5) // Sunstone Bikini in Cosmic (RRP £35 - SSP £5) // Lapis Bikini in Harlequin (RRP £35 - SSP £5) // Louski Dress in Black Mesh (RRP £25 - SSP £15) // Nessy Dress in Black Spandex (RRP £38 - SSP £15) // Aleka Skirt in Black (RRP £29 - SSP £5) // Mademoiselle Dress in Tiger Rose (RRP £38 - SSP £15) // Peridot Swimsuit in Black (RRP £35 - SSP £5) // Deborah Studded Sleeve Dress (RRP £32 - SSP £15) // Bernice Bralet in Purple Lace (RRP £35 - SSP £5) = TOTAL VALUE OF £340!!

Haha, totes looks like I just bought a whole new wardrobe... and believe it or not, this isn't even everything, BUT, I decided to not include the other stuffs as they weren't for me, so yeah. Oh, actually, there is ONE more thing I got for myself and it also just so happens to be my favourite of the lot! Behold the beauty (contrasted by my hideousness, but whatevs) of the 'Honey Fluffy Cardigan in Purple' (RRP £52 - SSP £15)!

EDIT!: So, feeling all excited about the relaxing weekend ahead of me I TOTALLY forgot that I was to be working again on Monday (clearing up post-sample sale) and so would therefore be getting more stuff! It's not all that much, but I felt it would be a shame not to include them in this post as well, so here they are, the final pieces!

Yoko Dress (RRP £42 - SSP £15) // Maggie Top in Japanese (RRP £25 - SSP £5) // Grace Studded Dress (RRP £45 - SSP £15) ... making the actual total value about £452!! Mind blown much?!

Miss the sample sale? Can't wait for the next one? Worry not, for with the code below you too are able to get a rad discount on your Motel purchases, so you're welcome! xD

http://motelrocks.com

In other news, whilst working at the sample sale, I was interviewed by Motel, apparently, for an upcoming street team feature on their blog - how exciting! I'll admit, my answers were wayyy lame, but still, it did feel kind of cool to even get asked in the first place, so yay for that at least! I'll probs tweet the link to it if/when it comes out, so keep your eyes peeled!

Anyway, that's all for now, I guess. Hopefully there won't be SUCH a long gap between this and my next post, but we'll just have to see how things go, I suppose... but yeah, bye for nowww!

*SSP = sample sale price

PS.: before anyone looks at all the stuff and thinks 'hey! maybe i should volunteer next time too and get loads of goodies!' or 'that's so not fair that you get all of that without really paying for it!', just know that this was the product of over 24 hours of repeatedly organising rails of clothes, repeatedly picking up clothes off the floor and re-hanging them, carrying very heavy piles of clothes up and down stairs and being on my feet for a good majority of the time - all within the space of 3 days. it was a lot of hard work and i am absolutely shattered, not to mention the fact that i was aching so much after the first day that when i got out of bed the next morning i immediately collapsed, so please consider that before remarking either of the aforementioned comments.
PPS.: that is not to say you shouldn't volunteer, given the chance - go for it! but just don't let your lust for piles and piles of yummy motel clothes make you sign up for more than what's good for you! ;D

Almost Natural~

Dress [click!] - Motel Rocks
Top [click!] - Motel Rocks
Necklace - Accessorize
Tights - F&F @ Tesco

You know what's weird? I almost feel like I look photogenic, despite this being taken straight on rather than in profile or otherwise and without me making some ridiculous angle or whatever. In fact, also speaking of 'almost', the photo content itself is almost perfect... if only it weren't for that damned slightly upturned hemline!! Grr...

For the first time ever I took my OOTD photos using a self timer, and I've got to say, it was a lot of hard work. It probably didn't help that I can't pose for life and I forgot to put a marker on the floor to indicate where I'm supposed to stand and I kept on tripping on the tripod when checking on how the shots are going, thus, shifting the frame into disarray... yeah, lots of problems.

So in this look I'm wearing some of the wonderful goodies I got from a recent Motel Rocks sample sale [mentioned in this post] and I've got to say, I am not regretting my picks one bit! My only issue really is that both items are a size too big (samples mainly come in S = size 10), but at the same time, for the dress at least, I'm kind of liking the slight oversized-ness, so could be worse! ^^

Motel Rocks Sample Sale haul!~

Ahhh, I'm so excited that I get to do another haul post!! Coz you know what that means? New goodies, yayyy!

So last week, one of my all-time favourite brands, Motel Rocks, held another one of their super fabulous sample sales in London and this time, as a street team member, I was able to help make it all happen as a volunteer by getting all the clothes ready, assisting the showroom set up beforehand and helping run everything on the opening day itself.

As thanks for my hard work (12 grueling hours in total!), the Motel team kindly gifted myself and the other volunteers with some store credit, meaning... immediate shopping spree, wheee! And so, without further ado, here's all the stuff I got with said credit! x3

-original price = £22 (each)
-sample sale price = 2 for £10!

-original price = £40
-sample sale price = £15!

Motel Camilla Dress in Black
-sample sale price = £15!

Motel Jenna Crop Knit Jumper in Grey
-sample sale price = £10

Motel Kasha Bralet in Black
-sample sale price = £7 (2 for £10!)

-original price = £25 (current online sale price £20!)
-sample sale price = £7 (2 for £10!)

---

Total spent = £60
Total value = almost £200!

I must say, I was very lucky in the sense that most of the stuff I got is or was in my wish list at some point or other, so how cool is that? Just had to spend all my free time perusing through hangers and hangers to find it all... but, overall, the end rewards were definitely worth the aching wrists and feet!

For those of you who missed out on the sample sale this time and can't wait for a bargain to come by soon enough, fret not!, for just below this is a banner with a code which you can use at any time for a 20% discount on all* Motel Rocks purchases! Woooo, happy days for everyone! =D

Audacity is my middle name~

First things first: whatever you do, do NOT tell/show my mother! Or any other of my relatives! That is all.

Body - Motel Rocks
Headband - eBay
Socks - F&F @ Tesco

This photo was the result of a failed shoot. I had initially been trying to do a last-minute shoot for one more entry for an ASOS Fashion Finder competition featuring this Motel Rocks body, but it really did not go well... however, I really didn't want to waste the effort completely and was feeling a little brave and so decided on this rather risque shoot to follow!

My main objective was to show off the sexiness of my (at the time) newest leg garter in all it's glory, but I look absolutely hideous front-on, so everything ended up being taken of my profile, which is a shame for the garter. HOWEVER, if you want to see more of it and maybe even BUY it, the link to the etsy store I bought it from is above, so click click click!!

PS.: as usual, you can head over to my lookbook and/or chictopia (links at the side) to hype, like, favourite, comment on or whatever look if you dig it!

First time for everything...!~

I realise I've already posted once today, but just look at this- just LOOK AT THIS!

Editor's Choice page? Ohhh yeahhh!

I know it's quite a small thing to get all excited about, but come aaaaan! This is the first time anything I've done in the fashion-related world has been even in the slightest bit acknowledged, so wooo, I'll take it as an achievement any day!

The most awesome part about it as well, is that I had literally JUST signed up for What I Wore Today less than 24 hours ago and I've already managed to make a little impression, yay me!

Leg garters mini haul!~

A few posts ago I wrote about how I ordered some leg garters and had already received the Urban Outfitters one (debuted in this post) and was just waiting on the other two before I could make a post about them, and now that I have all of them, well, here it is!

As I just said, the first one I received was the Urban Outfitters one and I bought it more out of curiosity more than anything (that's the great thing about ebay - curiosity satisfied at little cost!), especially after seeing the way blogger Ashley J rocks hers on a regular basis. However, before I could even sample it, I discovered the Little Black Mess garter from Choies.com and fell in love with it instantly! In my haze of absolute want for the darn thing, I bought it with only little hesitation, only to regret the amount of money I spent almost instantly. And how did I resolve that? By seeing if etsy.com had anything cheaper to make up for it. Erm... what? xD

When I found the Hellosullivan shop there I was totally amazed by the variety and the affordability of everything! I wanted it all! It actually took me a while to buy this one, as I spent aaages deciding between like, 3 designs, though I probably wouldn't have minded had I chosen otherwise. This one was just the cheapest option. And did I mention that they're all made to order? Size-wise that is. How awesome is that? Totally affordable and made specifically for you!

So yeah, to wrap this up, though I'm struggling to find occasions to wear these beauties, I'm glad I have them (even if it did set me back like, £30), and will make sure you see more of them in future outfit posts!

My new dress is just so OH MY LOVEly!~

Dress - Oh My Love
Tights - F&F @ Tesco
Wedges - everything5pounds.com
Bowler hat - Take That merch store... xD

I have been wanting this dress since forever. Okay, well, maybe not forever, per se, but the moment I laid my eyes on it I was like "i must have it! it will be miiine!", so yeah, and now, after, what, over a year of lusting after it I have finally achieved my goal! Thank you very much, random eBay seller! ^^

The colour is just to die for and I have been meaning to get another velvet dress (my current collection consists of only 1 - a silver skater dress from Miss Selfridge) - BUT, not only that, but that collar! Oh my gah! How perfect is this dress?? I just... there are no words... =')

Desperate times, desperate measures + Buy my stuff!~

Dress - New Look
Scarf - Forever 21
Belt - Forever 21
Garter - Urban Outfitters
Tights - F&F @ Tesco
Ring - Forever 21
Spike headband - eBay
Wedges - everything5pounds.com

Admittedly, not the best OOTD shots I've ever had, but to be fair, they were taken by my 6 year old half-sister, so in actuality, they're really not that bad! Oh, and just fyi, the top pose was necessary; she couldn't fit all of me in the frame otherwise. ><"

So, this is the debut of my new leg garter which just arrived in the post today, and I was so wayyy excited that I just had to immediately get an outfit together just to show it off to the internet! I have actually ordered 2 others recently in varying styles, so when they arrive I'll be sure to make a post about them... so excited!

In other news, as my clothes collection is getting just a leetle bit out of hand, once again I shall be putting a portion of it up on eBay to clear up some space, as well as draw in a bit o' cash for the upcoming winter. ;D

You can find all my listings here, and for those of you who are in need of prompting here's a preview of some of my dear favourites that are up for grabs:

This is just the tip of the iceberg; I've got more stuff for girls, some stuff for guys, AND I will be putting more things up in the next few days! However if you don't want to miss out on these beauties in particular, then better make a move as they'll be gone in just over 4 days, so hurry!!

Too Sunny to Smile~

Top - Forever 21
Shorts - H&M
Tights - Claire's Accessories
Creepers - everything5pounds.com

In a way, it's kind of ironic how I'm posting this OOTD featuring too much sun, right when all of a sudden there seems to be not enough sun, and to be honest, I'm still deciding which I prefer.

As can be correctly assumed, these photos were taken AGES back when summer was in full swing and when I was struggling a fair bit to dress appropriately, though I don't think I did too badly with this outfit. My favourite item was the top which I got on sale at Forever 21 wayyy back. The material is really light (so super appropriate - finally!) and the criss-cross back detail is just the most awesome thing ever!

Now if only sunny weather wasn't so damn bright and hot...! ><"

I [heart] Camden Town~

Sunglasses - Forever 21
Cut out top - H&M
Denim shorts - River Island (via eBay)
Tights - Primark
Ankle boots - F&F @ Tesco (via eBay)

Photoshop and I will most likely never be friends, but as you can see the relationship is at least somewhat improving. Sort of.

Yesterday (04.07.2013) I was at a gig at one of my favourite venues of ever in one of my favourite parts of London ever, The Underworld in Camden. The place holds many fond memories for me and as I hadn't been there in about 4 years I was super excited about our reunion, but never mind about that for now as I'll be posting my review of the gig in the next couple of days...

I am questioning what possessed me to think that wearing heels on a day where I would have to be standing for about 4 hours was a good idea, and what made me all of a sudden become so brave as to wear a top that is almost see-through, but overall I think the suffering (from both physical pain and embarrassment) was somewhat worth it. Also, with a temperature peak of 24 degrees, the cut out sections were much appreciated in the end!
